My work with Parzival

In summer 2007 I met with the very carismatic lead singer of the band “Parzival” from Denmark, we agreed that I would help them making a music video and some multimedia material for their, then, upcoming album Zeitgeist.

At first we finished a music vide, which was not the piece I am most proud of, but compared to what they wanted it fulfilled that.

Maya – my experience

Initially at my former employer we needed some PR images, which I did in the CAD system’s visualization application, but the need for moving images came quickly thereafter.

I started to look into solutions for realistic renders and animation. Several softwares were tested and I felt that they all did pretty much the same, I liked Maya’s GUI and therefor decided on Maya (6.0 back then).

The Line by Xavier Agudo

A Place Between Here (aka Daniel Nielsen) will be making the visual effects for this short movie by Xavier Agudo.
“The project is his Thesis graduation film for the Master of Arts in Media Production program at the Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Germany. The film is intended to be made at the highest standards of quality possible, using state of the art technology and pure storytelling to produce a strong film festival contender.” – from his official site.

Hopefully this movie will be featured in short film festivals in Autumn of 2009.
Update: Xavier got the highest grade possible at his masters degree and the premiere of his movie is set for 29th september 2009, after the premiere the movie will be featured at autumns short film festivals, so keep an eye open for “The Line” by Xavier Agudo

Xavier Aagudo finished his Masters degree with this film scoring best possible marks.

The film will premiere 29th September 2009 and can be seen at short film festivals over Europe late 2009.
